レキシントンは、ケンタッキー州ではルイビルに次いで2 番目に人口の多い都市であり、全米で60 番目に人口の多い都市です。ケンタッキー州の中央に位置し、「馬の首都」としても知られるレキシントンは、競走馬の生産で広く知られています。特産物としてはバーボン・ウイスキーがあります。
